To the mission of the North Texas Recovery Foundation to eliminate financial barriers to persons seeking recovery from addiction.
The North Texas Recovery Foundation exists for the sole purpose of supporting addiction treatment providers with monetary means to offer individuals and families means to be admitted to and complete addiction treatment and counseling even when they have no means to do this on their own. Did you know that the state of Texas spend 16.4% total budget on "substance abuse" related issues. However, the criminal justice system gets 95.7% of that and treatment, prevention and research get just 0.3% That leaves alot of work for the rest of us.
Although our website is still "under construction" we are building a comprehensive network and directory of licensed, ethical treatment providers which will come on line during the summer of 2009. In the meantime, we offer news and education from the field and ways you can help us make sure everyone in North Texas can obtain treatment .
