The North Texas Recovery Foundation, along with La Buena Vida Vineyards hosted an Italian Car and Motorcycle Festival on April 26, 2009.  The event was a success, although the threat of rain kept some of our lovely cars in their garages, and some of our guests at home.  We want to thank our wonderful sponsors the this inaugural event, Boardwalk Auto Group, RPM Cycles, Vespa of Lewisville, and of course, La Buena Vida Vineyards.

We also want to thank our Board Members, and Celebrity volunteers for the day, Angela Fisher, Travis Marshall, Fran Lobpries, and Maury Buford, formerly of the Chicago Bears.  Our music was provided by Michael L. Smith and Kevin Schaelling with his band, and the catering was provided by Jim Lee Events.  All to perfection and you have our sincere thanks.

Our Schlotzsky's Day on March 20, was an excellent success.  For those of you who missed the event, we missed you.  We will plan to have another Schlotzsky's Day as well as other "Days" this summer.

2nd Annual Italian Car and Motorcycle Festival
The 2nd Annual Car and Motorcycle Festival will be held at the Arlington Convention Center on April 18, 2010 from 2:00 to 6:00 in the afternoon.  We are expecting somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 cars and 20 motorcycles, all of whom are from Italian descent with a few notable exceptions.  Admission is the same as last year;  $20.00 for the festival which also enters you in a drawing for a Vespa Scooter.  If you want to attend the VIP reception from 6:00 to 8:00ish,  those raffle tickets are $200.00 and we will be drawing for a trip to Italy.  Parking will be $5 this year.  If you would like to exhibit your car or motorcycle, please fill out the following form and e-mail to delaine.faris@gmail.com
